The development of PBT: PBT was first developed by German scientist P. Schlick in 1942. Then Celanese company (now Ticona) in the United States carried out industrial development and listed under the trade name of celanex. In 1970, it was put on the market with 30% glass fiber reinforced plastic, the trade name was x-917, and later changed to celanex. In 1971, Eastman company launched a glass fiber reinforced chain and non reinforced products, trade name tenite (ptmt); in the same year, GE company also developed similar products, with three varieties of non reinforced, reinforced and self extinguishing. Subsequently, world famous manufacturers such as BASF, Bayer of Germany, GE and Ticona of the United States, Toray of Japan, Mitsubishi Chemical of Japan, new optical fiber of Taiwan, Changchun artificial resin, South Asia plastics and other companies successively put into production. There are more than 30 global manufacturers.
