旭化成POM EF750---Because rubber or thermoplastic elastomer has low modulus and is easy to bend, as a stress concentration system in plastic matrix, the shear yield and crazing of the matrix are induced, which makes the matrix brittle ductile transition and improves the toughness of the material. The main factors affecting the toughening effect include the size of rubber (elastomer) particles, the distance between adjacent particles and the interfacial adhesion between particles and matrix. Commonly used are thermoplastic polyurethane (PUR-T), EPDM, nitrile rubber (NBR), silicone rubber and so on.
