Although PA6 has many advantages, it also has some shortcomings, especially in dry condition and low temperature condition, which limits its application in dry and cold environment. Therefore, it is of great significance to study the toughening of PA6 under dry and low temperature conditions. The recent research status of toughening PA6 is briefly introduced. The toughening research of nylon 6 has been an important topic of nylon modification since 1970s. There are three ways to obtain high toughness nylon 6 blends: blending with polyolefins and elastomers; mixing with high toughness engineering plastics; 3. Toughening with inorganic particles. In the mid-1970s, DuPont company of the United States modified nylon with EPDM, and first developed the super tough nylon zetelst. The interfacial adhesion between polyolefin elastomer and nylon 6 was improved by grafting MAH onto EPR and EPDM. The impact strength of the blend was about 1000 J / m.
