PP molding characteristics:1. Crystalline material, hygroscopicity is small, easy to occur melt fracture, long-term contact with hot metal is easy to decome.
2. PP has good fluidity, but its shrinkage range and shrinkage value are large, and it is easy to produce shrinkage cavity, dent and deformation.
3. The cooling speed is fast, the pouring system and cooling system should slow heat dissipation, and pay attention to control the molding temperature. When the material temperature is low temperature and high pressure, it is easy to orientate. When the mold temperature is lower than 55 ℃, the plastic parts are not smooth, easy to produce poor fusion and flow marks, and warpage deformation occurs when the temperature is above 95 ℃. Glass fiber is the main reinforcement material, which can significantly improve the tensile strength of PP plastics. Generally, the content of glass fiber is less than 40%. It is generally considered that when the fiber length is greater than 0.2 mm, the effect is better when the diameter of glass fiber is more than 10 microns. With the increase of glass fiber content, the processing fluidity of reinforced PP decreases correspondingly, but it is still a kind of plastic with good fluidity

由于闽台下游加工业大量外移大陆，加上大陆经过十多年的经济后，其石化工业已快速发展，而且所需原料仍须大量仰赖进口，在大陆加入WTO后更将创造庞大商机，惟受大陆高关税保护措施影响，闽台原料要打入大陆内销市场相当困难。为争取大陆内销市场，台塑集团已积极进行大陆布局，并于大陆宁波经济技术开发区规划一石化专区，目前获准投资项目包括年产能30万公吨PVC厂已于94年1月完工生产、年产能23万公吨丙烯酸酯厂已于95年3月完工生产、年产能45万公吨聚丙烯厂已于97年4月完工生产，及年产3万公吨高吸水性树脂厂已于97年3月完工生产。

台塑集团在麦寮六轻共投资兴建十二个厂，目前各厂均已完工生产中，六轻四期扩建及去瓶颈工程大部份亦已完工。完工后除可大幅增加本公司营业额外，并纾解闽台石化基本原料不足，且可再加工生产特用化学品及工程塑料，对石化业原料取得、成本控制及产品附加提升，都有密不可分之关系，同时可促进工业升级及带动国内塑料、电子、化纤等产品之层次。

管材、型材、单丝、渔用绳索、打包带、捆扎绳、编织袋、纤维，复合涂层，片材，板材等。吹塑中空成型制品有各种小型容器等。旋转成型可制造各种大型化工贮槽、容器。
PP聚丙烯聚物单一丙烯聚合而成、结晶度较高，力学强度和耐热性良好。注塑制品可用作汽车、电气、机械、仪表、无线电、纺织、双向拉伸*等工程配件，日用品，周转箱，卫生器材，建筑材料。
