PBT的发展历程：PBT早是德国科学家P.Schlack于1942年研制而成，之后美国Celanese公司（现为Ticona）进行工业开发，并以Celanex商品名上市，于1970年以30%玻璃纤维增强塑料投放市场，商品名为X-917，后改为CELANEX。1971年Eastman公司推出了有玻璃纤增强琏和不增强的产品，商品名Tenite(PTMT）；同年GE公司也开发出同类产品，有不增强、增强和自熄性的三个品种。随后世界厂商德国BASF、Bayer、美国GE、Ticona，日本Toray、三菱化学，闽台新光合纤、长春人造树脂、南亚塑料等公司先后投入生产行列，**生产厂商共计三十余家。

PBT性能：PBT树脂为结晶形，熔点230℃左右，相对密度1.35；具有优良的力学性能，有自润滑性和耐磨性，摩擦系数低，耐热、耐候好；但缺口敏感性大；尺寸稳定性好，电性能优良，耐电弧性好；抗化学药品性及其优异，与醇、醚、脂肪烃、酸和盐的水溶液等不起作用，但不耐强酸和强碱。耐，在二中溶胀，在芳烃、乙酸中有些溶胀。在改性PBT中，有92%是用玻璃纤维增强的，经过增强改性的PBT性能**：①耐热性优良，长期使用温度125℃，短期使用温度达210℃；②机械强度高，在长时间高负荷下变形小；③吸水率低，尺寸稳定性好，耐摩擦磨耗性优良。

PBT加工之前必须要行干燥处理、要将水分含量控制在0.03％以下。
PBT采用热风循环干燥时，PBT当温度为110℃、115℃或145℃时，所对应的时间不**过六小时。料层厚度低于32mm。
PBT温度:PBT的分解温度为285℃，所以实际生产中控制在235-265℃：
PBT压力压力为52～102MPa。
PBT速率 PBT冷却速度快，因此要采用较快的速率。
螺杆转速和背压成型PBT的螺杆转速不宜**过80r/min，在25～62r/min之间。
背压为压力的12％～17％。PBT模具温度在65～82℃，各部位的温度差不**过12℃。PBT成型时间一般情况下为18～62s。
